Our Ethical Standards
Helping you explore halal options for your home — without compromise
Our Commitment to Ethical Home Buying
At Halali, our role is simple: to help people who wish to avoid interest explore ethical, halal-aligned options when buying a home.
We do not provide or promote conventional interest-based mortgages. Instead, we focus on introducing home purchase options that are structured to align with widely recognised Islamic principles, allowing individuals and families to move forward with confidence and peace of mind.
What “Halal Options” Means at Halali
We work with providers that offer recognised Home Purchase Plans (HPPs) commonly used in Islamic home finance, including structures based on:
- Shared ownership arrangements
- Leasing-based models
- Asset-backed purchase structures
These approaches are designed to avoid interest and support ethical, transparent home ownership.
Our role is to help you understand what options exist and connect you with appropriate providers — not to sell or push a particular product.
The Halali Standard
We apply a clear standard to every provider we work with:
- Regulatory Oversight: We only introduce users to providers that are authorised and regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), where applicable.
- Independent Sharia Oversight: The home purchase plans we introduce are supported by independent Sharia supervisory oversight at provider level.
- Clear Information: We aim to ensure rental amounts, fees and key terms are explained in a clear and accessible way, so users can make informed decisions.
Our Role & Important Notice
Halali does not provide financial advice and does not recommend one option over another.
Our platform exists to:
- Share information
- Help users understand ethical alternatives
- Introduce users to regulated providers for further discussion
Any decision to proceed should be made directly with the provider and, where appropriate, with independent professional advice.
Transparency & How We’re Funded
In the interest of openness, users should be aware that Social Adverts Ltd, the operator of Halali, may receive an introduction fee or commission from partner institutions when a successful introduction results in completed business.
This fee:
- Is paid by the provider
- Does not change the terms offered to the user unless clearly stated
Our Vetting Process
Every provider featured through Halali is reviewed through a two-step process:
- Regulatory Review: Confirmation of FCA authorisation and good standing, where applicable.
- Ethical & Structural Review: Verification that the provider’s home purchase plans are supported by recognised Sharia governance and align with commonly accepted halal principles.
